Non-destructive
testing (NDT) plays a vital part in manufacturing, quality
control and residual life assessment. It is used in a wide range
of industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing,
Power Generation, Petrochemical, Transport and Civil
Engineering. Because of this wide market and activities,
Industrial radiographers are among the most highly exposed group
of radiation workers as compared with others. The nature of
their work, the strength of the sources and the energy of
radiation used in radiography works contribute to the high
exposures that were received.
In order to raise the awareness on the importance on radiation
safety management and protection among radiographers &
practicing NDT Professionals, Spectro has been organizing
various NDT Awareness Programs.
